At the end of June, first and second year Integrated English classes were introduced to Hawaiian culture through ‘Hawaiian Day’. Students learned about Hawaiian culture through the art of Polynesian tattoos and what the designs signify. Later everyone had an opportunity to draw tattoos following the same cultural ideas. Everyone enjoyed learning about a new culture while sampling homemade Hawaiian snacks such as butter mochi and hurricane popcorn, and drinking Plantation Iced Tea.

6月末に、1年と2年のインテグレーテッドイングリッシュのクラスでは、『ハワイの日』ということでハワイの文化を学びました。その中でハワイやポリネシアの伝統的なタトゥの意味を学び、実際にマーカーで腕や脚などにポリネシアンデザインの例を見ながらタトゥを描きました。また、先生お手製のバター餅とハリケーン・ポップコーン、プランテーションアイスティなどのハワイアンおやつを楽しみました。
