On June 26th, we held the first Japan/Taiwan Japanese Language Education Symposium themed “Japanese action of education – Our action plan”. The panelists for the event were Associate Dean Sato Ken from our Taiwanese sister university, Kao Yuan University, Okayama Institute of Languages Principal Takashi Yamanaka and Chugoku Gakuen University Associate Professor Teruhiko Okamoto. These three panelists discussed the present situation and concerning issues of the Japanese education in Taiwan and Japan. Chaired by Professor Saiki of the Department of International Liberal Arts, it was a very productive discussion with various questions from students. We look forward to continue similar seminars in the future.

６月26日に「日台における日本語教育―私たちの取り組み」というテーマで第一回日本語教育研究会が行われました。姉妹校の高苑科技大学応用外国語学科副学科長の佐藤健先生、岡山外語学院校長の山中孝志先生をお迎えし、本学からは岡本輝彦准教授が参加しました。この３名のパネリストが日本と台湾における日本語教育の現状、問題点などについて討論しました。本学の佐生教授の司会によって行われた研究会には国際教養学科の学生十数名が参加し、学生からの質問もあり、活発な研究会となりました。今後も引き続き日本語教育研究会を行っていきます。
